Ponyville Ciderfest Announces Ingrid Nilson (Maud Pie) and Michelle Creber (Apple Bloom):
Two big press releases in one week came our way from the folks up at Ponyville Ciderfest, going on November 7-9 in Milwaukee, WI. Check out both guest announcements below.
Ingrid Nilson (Maud Pie)
Ponyville Ciderfest is proud to announce Ingrid Nilson, voice of Maud Pie.
We like rocks. Rocks are cool. Rock, rocks, rocks. Can you tell we like rocks here too? Join us as we welcome Ingrid Nilson to Milwaukee, Nov 7-9!
Ingrid was skeptical 10 years ago when a mystic told her that her life’s work would be all about her voice. Since then, she has been heard as ‘Raspberry Torte’ in 4 seasons of Strawberry Shortcake, as ‘Maud Pie’ in My Little Pony, as punk rocker ‘Sloan’ in an upcoming Barbie movie and more. You may have heard Ingrid while you were playing video games or learning from educational apps. She may have had something to do with persuading you to switch phone plans, eat pizza or sip a Slurpee.
In a career that has spanned over a decade and includes on-camera work, she has had the pleasure of appearing with Molly Shannon, Hillary Duff, Steve Coogan and many others in films + TV shows. A classically trained singer (Royal Conservatory of Music), actor (UBC Honors Degree in Theatre) and dancer, Ingrid was raised onThe Sound of Music and old school musicals.
She lives in Vancouver, BC where you can find her teaching yoga + meditation, biking around town and promoting positive body image in schools with non-profit, Project True. Visit projecttrue.com!
Michelle Creber (Apple Bloom)
Ponyville Ciderfest is proud to announce our new guest of honor that will be joining us in beautiful downtown Milwaukee, WI Nov 7-9!
Join us as we welcome Michelle Creber (Apple Bloom) to Ponyville Ciderfest!
Michelle is a 14-year-old actor, singer, voiceover artist and dancer from Vancouver, Canada who is best known internationally as the speaking/singing voice of “Apple Bloom” and the singing voice of “Sweetie Belle” on My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.
Michelle’s on-screen film and TV credits include Smart Cookies (Hallmark), The Haunting Hour (The Hub), Supernatural (CW), Eureka (NBC), Christmas Lodge (Showcase), Killer Among Us (Lifetime), and The Search for Santa Paws (Disney). In addition to her voice work on My Little Pony, Michelle has voiced many other characters including “Lucy” in Peanuts Motion Comics (Warner Bros), “Alice” in Martha Speaks (PBS Kids), “Teri” and “Michelle” on Dinosaur Train (Jim Henson) and “Jake” in Adventures of Little Jake & Many Skies (APTN). Theatre credits include the title role in Annie (twice), “Dorothy” in The Wizard of Oz, “Brigitta” in The Sound of Music and “Tiny Tim” in A Christmas Carol.
Michelle’s various acting, musical and comedic skills are also showcased in a new online variety show, Speedy & Stretch, recently launched on her YouTube channel, which features classic & original comedy sketches as well as music videos and special guests.
In the summer of 2012, Michelle released her debut album, Timeless: Songs of a Century; an acclaimed, multi-genre collection of top hits from 1910 to 2010. Timeless was immediately embraced by fans from dozens of countries around the world and was quickly followed by the release of A Creber Christmas. Both albums feature vocal skills, style, power and versatility that defy Michelle’s young age.
A talented songwriter who also plays piano, drums and guitar, Michelle is now working on a collection of original songs and enjoys frequent musical collaborations with popular artists such as Black Gryph0n, MandoPony, The Living Tombstone, Mic the Microphone, Daniel Ingram, Steffan Andrews & Andrea Libman.
